Konoin Youth Center is a youth-friendly platform and a resource center for rural youths living in Konoin District, Bomet County in Kenya.
Konoin YC is led and managed by youths. It has no political affiliation nor is it profit-oriented.
MISSION
To mobilize Konoin Youths and provide them with Information, Life skills, Tools and Resources which are the prerequisites for them to better their present and future lives as they also get involve in bringing positive changes to their entire community.
To harness the unexploited energies, ideas and talents of the youths with the help of strong, reputable and well-established networks and links of;
a) International and local volunteers,
b) Members of Konoin Community,
c) Local leaders,
d) Learning and Health institution and
e) Other youths-serving organization with similar objectives as ours
VISION
We envisage a rural community of informed and empowered youths.
OBJECTIVE
v To organize various trainings for Konoin Youths for them to engage in economic, socio-cultural and other developmental activities in their community.
v To increase youths access to information and education on health, HIV/ Aids and Environmental conservation.
v To unlock and/or promote youths' talents and leadership skills through sports, Martial Arts and hiking and camping expeditions.
v To promote exchange and dissemination of ideas, skills, knowledge and resources through networking, volunteer-ship and exchange programs.
