About us

The Aspen Institute, founded in 1950, is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering enlightened leadership and open-minded dialogue. Through seminars, policy programs, conferences and publications, the Justice and Society Program works to promote timely discussions of issues of justice as defined in the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and related bodies of law. We are currently focused on Judicial Education, Transitional Justice, and Multinational Institutions.
