The mission of the Kent Community TimeBank Inc. is to provide a system of exchange where individuals and groups with needs and wants are answered by members with services, skills and resources for the purpose of building community.
When you do something (you like doing) for one hour, you earn one Time Credit. You may then spend that Time Credit on any of the hundreds of offers in the timebank. It is not barter. It is not volunteering.
KCTB opened it's virtual doors in April of 2010 and as of July 2013 we have 540 members and have exchanged over 17,000 Time Credits with each other and the greater community.
Follow our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/kentcommunitytimebank/ for invitations to our monthly informational gatherings. These inspirational meetings serve as an orientation and will teach you about the concept of timebanking and also walk you through the software that we use. They are typically held at the Kent Free Library and Twinsburg Community Library on rotating evenings or weekend afternoons!
