Greater Washington Interfaith Power and Light (GWIPL) is a cooperative, non-profit initiative that seeks to encourage and enable congregations, religious institutions, and others in the Washington, DC, area to reduce their contribution to global warming, which threatens the future of God's creation. GWIPL is a project of the Churches' Center for Theology and Public Policy, a national ecumenical center applying faith perspectives to critical issues in public policy, and is co-sponsored by the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington.
