Office of the Mayor, NYC Service

NYC Service, an agency within the NYC Mayor's Office that manages and coordinates multiple initiatives with the goal of engaging more New Yorkers in service, the largest initiative being the NYC Civic Corps. The Civic Corps supports nonprofit organizations and city agencies that want to engage more volunteers, but struggle to manage and support sustainable volunteer programs. Corps members are dispatched to these organizations and agencies for ten months with the charge of developing volunteer programs and building organizational capacity.
