St. Mary's Center for Women and Children has repeatedly proven its ability to effectively serve high-risk populations, in particular low-income women with little or no employment backgorund. St. Mary's Center provides theoretically grounded and empirically informed quality care in an innovative community-based environment. The organization's overarching mission is to provide support so families can develop stable, healthy, economically self-sufficient lives.
By focusing our resources and energies on these young women, we are able to change the dynamics of poverty across the entire community. We start by embracing their potential. We understand that they are not unfortunate women. They are resilient, courageous women in unfortunate circumstances. By building on their innate inner strengths, we help them recover and rebound.
