The Alliance for Climate Education (ACE) has a mission to educate, inspire and activate high school students across the country to create lasting climate solutions. ACE's vision is that one day, every teenager in America will understand climate change and take meaningful climate action. Since 2008, ACE has educated 1.8 million high school students nationwide, and mentored over 400,000 youth to take action in their personal lives, in their schools and as leaders in the broader community.
ACE accomplishes its mission through two program areas. ACE's Education Program includes delivering the award-winning ACE Assembly to high school students. The ACE Assembly combines climate science with cutting-edge animation and storytelling to create an in-person experience that educates and inspires. ACE's Leadership Program includes mentoring high school Action Fellows and leading workshops called Action Labs where students develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to create powerful climate projects in their communities. ACE also supports high school teachers to master climate and energy science standards through best-in-class resources and professional development opportunities. ACE is grooming the next generation of leaders to create game-changing climate solutions.
ACE is data-centric and tech-savvy, nimble and creative, passionate and results-oriented. ACE has a current staff of 21, an annual budget of $1.77 million, and maintains local programs in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Reno Nevada, New York City, Raleigh & Charlotte North Carolina, San Francisco Bay Area, and Sacramento CA.
