Coulee Region Humane Society's Pet Therapy Program Ambassadors of Love

About Us

The Coulee Region Humane Society Pet Therapy Program began in 1985 with one wonderful volunteer and one amazing dog... a stray yellow lab named Fred. Together, they created The Ambassadors of Love!

Mission

  • Love indiscriminately.
  • Give a nudge and a comforting paw.
  • Break through the loneliness.
  • Be a companion on the road to recover.
  • Teach humanity.
  • Bring peace.
  • Let miracles of love and trust unfold.

Company Overview

Today we have over 60 Pet Therapy Teams in our program! Our teams visit area nursing homes and hospitals, visit our area schools, libraries and Boys and Girls Clubs with our Read to Rover program and participate in a wide variety of community events and fundraisers. All of our dogs are family pets... handled by a family member. Our teams go through obedience training to an appropriate level for Therapy dog work. They test together as a team both in a class setting and at a location sight. Once approved... they become Ambassadors of Love with the Coulee Region Humane Society Pet Therapy Program!
Our teams visited with almost 60,000 people in 2013 alone!
