The Boston University School of Social Work is committed to education that furthers social and economic justice in the urban environment.

The School prepares and develops highly trained, flexible professional social workers to address the needs and potentials of individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.

Emphasizing an integrated program of study, the School teaches the engagement of individual and community strengths to promote the understanding, treatment, and prevention of individual and social problems.
