Girls' LEAP's mission is to empower girls and young women to value and champion their own safety and well-being.
Girls' LEAP (Lifetime Empowerment & Awareness Program) is a girls empowerment organization that partners with community based organizations and schools to deliver self-defense and empowerment programs, at no-cost, for girls aged 8-18 in Greater Boston. Our programs are based on a curriculum that stresses physical safety skills and socio-emotional, reflective activities that address the development of conflict resolution skills, violence de-escalation, self-esteem and courage. Our primary goal with all Girls' LEAP programs is to provide girls with the tools and assessment skills to keep themselves safe and free from violence of any kind. We seek to empower girls to use their voices and learn life-long strategies to stay safe, both emotionally and physically. We offer 20-hour/10-week after-school programs, 2-4 hour Introductory workshops and a year-round Teen Mentor Program (a leadership and employment program that trains young women, aged 14-18, to be assistant teachers/mentors in our programs).
