Building Healthy Communities is a statewide initiative supported by The California Endowment (TCE). Long Beach is one of 14 California communities chosen to be a part this 10-year plan, designed to improve health systems and the physical, social, economic and service structures that support healthy living and healthy behaviors in California. It is our mission to create a caring, engaged, inclusive, thriving, stable, green community where children, youth and families are healthy, educated, safe, supported, valued, and economically secure and empowered in a healthy environment that embraces diversity.
