On October 3rd, 2011, the San Francisco Parks Trust joined forces with the Neighborhood Parks Council to create the San Francisco Parks Alliance. Please visit our San Francisco Parks Alliance page to learn more about our exciting new organization!
San Francisco's parks and green open spaces are deserving of a world-class, independent nonprofit organization. Neighborhood Parks Council and San Francisco Parks Trust, SF's preeminent organizations serving parks, have joined forces to create the San Francisco Parks Alliance (SFPA).
SFPA's launch began October 3rd, 2011. We are building a new website, assessing our slate of programs, and creating new ways for you to engage with parks. Through this process we will emerge as not just the sum of our parts, but a stronger, more effective voice for parks in San Francisco. Please visit this launch progress page periodically for information and updates, and to track our progress. In the interim, you may continue to use the NPC and SFPT websites as well as current contact information for staff. Programming and services will remain the same during this launch period, and all NPC and SFPT donor and membership benefits are unchanged. The new San Francisco Parks Alliance combines 55 years of experience toward a common goal—to engage citizens in improving their public spaces and providing healthy, safe recreation for all.
