Good Dog’s mission is to ease human suffering and promote recovery from trauma and stress using animal-assisted therapy services that are recognized as among the most innovative and reliable in the United States.

To support its mission, Good Dog trains, certifies and fields close to 1,000 volunteer dog/handler teams annually.  The teams – assigned to hospitals, trauma centers, education facilities, nursing homes and disaster sites – help hundreds of thousands of people through the stresses of disease, injury, aging, learning disorders, disabilities and other life crises.

Good Dog is an industry leader in developing best practices.  We are known for our training, certification and quality control protocols.  We participate in accredited medical research to assure optimal results.  In all our activities, we are steadfast advocates for the healing potential of the human-animal bond.
