About Us

Willow House's mission is to develop and provide supportive services for children, teens, young adults and families who are coping with grief and the death of a loved one, as well as to support schools and communities coping with grief and death.

Our core services include peer support groups for children, teens, and families, provided at no charge throughout the Chicago area. Groups are located in Arlington Heights, Chicago, Libertyville and Bannockburn, including a group for children and families grieving a suicide death. At Willow House, children and families come together, gain mutual support, and are able to express their grief in a safe, compassionate place.

Our School and Community Outreach Program provides education for schools dealing with grief and death through workshops, consultation and crisis intervention. We also provide this for other community organizations, as well as professional development and CEUs for social workers.
