About Us

Established in 1998, The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is dedicated to relentlessly pursuing innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments in order to extend the lives of people with multiple myeloma and lead to a cure.

Multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cell, is an incurable but treatable blood cancer. As the number-one private funder of myeloma specific research, the MMRF has raised more than $250 million to fund more than 130 research institutions worldwide, including 70 new compounds and approaches in clinical trials and pre-clinical studies and has facilitated more than 50 clinical trials through its affiliate organization, the Multiple Myeloma Research Consortium (MMRC). As exceptional stewards of its donor’s investments, the MMRF consistently surpasses its peers in fiscal responsibility. For more information about the MMRF, please visit http://www.themmrf.org

The MMRF is able to achieve its mission through its Race For Research: 5K Run/Walk program, Marathon, Half Marathon and Triathlon team, comedy nights featuring popular comedians, golf tournaments, elite Galas featuring celebrities, corporate sponsorships, personal donations, and more.
