WildMetro is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting nature where people live. Our mission integrates research, education, advocacy, and management programs to effect the intelligent protection of nature in urban areas. Founded in 2002, WildMetro has collaborated with many of New York City’s major institutions, including the American Museum of Natural History, the National Park Service, the New York Botanical Garden, and several area universities.
