The mission of the Children's Nutrition Program of Haiti is to improve the health and development of Haitian children, particularly those suffering from malnutrition, who can in turn raise Haiti from poverty.
CNP works to achieve our mission, in partnership with our Haitian sisters and brothers, by focusing on the person in the family who will have the biggest impact on the health and future of the child-the mother. Healthy mothers will be able to raise healthy children.
What our programs do:
Empower women and their communities through women's groups and community health committees
Provide community based health and nutrition education for mothers using locally available resources
Provide direct health care including outpatient based nutrition rehabilitation for severely malnourished children
Support health-related community development programs related to maternal and child nutrition, water and sanitation
