Catholic Charities, the social service agency of the Archdiocese of Boston, is dedicated to improving the lives of the poor in Eastern Massachusetts. Founded in 1903 as a child welfare agency, Catholic Charities has adapted its services to meet the ever-changing needs of impoverished children, teens, working families and senior citizens. Catholic Charities offers 145 social service programs at 39 service sites throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. As a result, Catholic Charities is among the largest, private provider of social service care in the Commonwealth, an agency which takes pride in the fact that it is truly committed to serving those most in need regardless of age, race, color, sexual orientation or creed.
