Description

Friends of the Children New York is a unique early intervention program dedicated to helping New York City's most at-risk children become productive, contributing members of their community. This is accomplished by employing full-time mentors to work one-on-one with children, beginning in kindergarten or first grade and maintaining that relationship through high school.

To accomplish our mission, we will provide a relationship, experiences and resources for each child in need to reach his or her unique potential. Every child is important and unique and has the potential to assume a very special place in the world.
