Edu-Futuro (Educación Para Nuestro Futuro)

Edu-Futuro (Educación Para Nuestro Futuro) empowers underserved Latino and other immigrant youth through education, leadership development, and family engagement, to become the next generation of professionals who transform their communities.

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is Edu-Futuro’s flagship program, helping to ensure that middle school and high school students remain on the college track throughout their secondary education. Edu-Futuro offers a 12 session leadership program for 9th-12th graders, a one-on-one mentorship program for seniors in high school applying to college and robotics clubs for middle school students looking to enhance their skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Edu-Futuro recognizes that parental involvement leads to their children’s effective performance in school and as such, it is continually striving to offer a menu of opportunities for parents to build their capacity to support and advocate for their children’s education. Thus, Edu-Futuro also trains parents for leadership, advocacy and decision-making roles in the community.
