Su Casa Catholic Worker Community

Nonprofit or community organization

Last modified: March 25, 2014, 12:17 AM

Description

The Su Casa Catholic Worker Community incorporates three distinct but interwoven parts into its mission. First, we offer a home to homeless Latino Families, in an atmosphere that is supportive and healing. All of our workers are volunteers, and live together with the families who come here seeking shelter. Second, our focus extends beyond our walls as we share with our neighbors to create a better community. Third, the Catholic Worker tradition of non-violence, education, social action, and thinking globally leads us to become involved in issues of oppression outside of Chicago.
