About Us

United Way of King County brings caring people together to give, volunteer, and take action to help people in need and solve our community's toughest challenges.

Meeting People's Basic Needs We invest in programs that keep people housed, end hunger, and help people secure tax credits and public benefits.

Ending Homelessness We're providing permanent housing, preventing family homelessness and meeting the needs of homeless youth.

Giving Kids an Equal Chance By supporting children and their families during the early years, we know we can positively affect the rest of their lives.

Bolstering our Community's Human Services United Way of King County supports a strong base of the human services that are essential to keeping our community strong, such as after-school activities, domestic violence prevention, senior services, disaster preparation and job training programs.

Mobilizing Volunteers and Strengthening Volunteer Management United Way of King County recognizes the critical role volunteers play in solving community problems and works to build nonprofit capacity to engage volunteers, connect people to opportunities to serve in the community, promote the power of volunteerism and mobilizing volunteer strategically to address needs.
