Mission Statement: The Global Change Project is dedicated to the betterment of humanity through social and environmental projects aimed at improving quality of life for all people. GCP creates the social infrastructure and resources for bringing great ideas into reality by building networks of students, volunteers, professionals, and scholars working together for the greater good.
Vision Statement: The Global Change Project envisions a world where great ideas for society and the environment can quickly become realities, where social engagement and volunteerism are a part of everyday life, and where basic human needs are a basic human right.
The Global Change Project is an incubator for non-profit and social ventures aimed at sustainability and social justice. GCP engages graduate and undergraduate students as volunteer leaders in developing world changing projects, providing them with the opportunity to simultaneously build their resumes, gain real world experience, and make an impact before graduation. Developing collaboration models for volunteerism and social engagement utilizing crowdsourcing and cloud-based technologies, GCP seeks to develop resources and infrastructure for the rapid deployment of ideas that better the quality of life for all people.
