About us

Nonviolence International is a decentralized international network of resource centers that promote nonviolence and the use of nonviolent resistance, with the goal of reducing violence worldwide. We believe that every cultural and religious tradition can discover and employ culturally appropriate nonviolent methods for positive social change and international peace. Our NY office works at the United Nations on such issues as disarmament and culture of peace.
