Last modified: June 3, 2014, 4:48 PM

Community Board 11 (CB11) is a City of New York government agency, covering East Harlem/El Barrio, an area between 96th to 142nd Streets, from the east side of Fifth Avenue to the East River, and includes Randalls and Wards Islands. Through its 50 member volunteer board and three City paid staff members, the Community Board engages in various outreach activities and advocates for resident and business needs in a gentrifying community. CB11 has an important role in initiating and reviewing planning, land use and zoning matters, the City budget, municipal service delivery and many other advocacy matters relating to the welfare of East Harlem. CB11 hosts a monthly Full Board meeting, and a number of monthly committee meetings covering a range of important community issues.
