Description

The California Academy of Sciences is a world-class, one of a kind institution that brings the whole Universe under one roof. The Academy is the only institution in the world to combine a museum, aquarium, planetarium, four-story rainforest, and world-class research and education programs under one living roof. This unique combination allows visitors to explore everything from the depths of a Philippine coral reef to the outer reaches of the Universe. The Academy is redefining what it means to be a natural history museum in the 21st century in its new state of the art facility in Golden Gate Park. Museum visitors interact daily with animals, educators, and biologists within immersive, hands-on exhibits. And the research collections that form our foundation do not just sit in storage; they are used in cutting edge research about biodiversity and sustainability. For more information about the Academy, please visit www.calacademy.org.
