Description

The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest grassroots feminist political action organization in the country with over 500,000 members. NOW is a non-profit, multi-issue and multi-strategy orgainization focusing on all issues pertaining to women's rights. NOW strives to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace; secure abortion & birth control rights for ALL women; stop all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism, and heterosexism; and promote equality and justice through mass actions, intensive lobbying, legislation, non-violent civil disobedience, direct action, and litigation.
