Part of the Solution (POTS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Bronx. The POTS mission is to be a loving community in the Bronx that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who come to the doors.

As the largest emergency food provider in the Bronx, POTS is a well-established haven for those in need. In addition to feeding its community, POTS is also a "one-stop social services shop" fulfilling all of a person's needs in a holistic manner. In just a single visit, guests can enjoy a hot, healthful meal in the Community Dining Room, shop in the Food Pantry or Clothing Closet, receive a haircut, take a hot shower, pick up their mail, and speak with a case manager or lawyer. With myriad quality services, POTS provides a tailor-made experience to meet the individual needs of all of its guests. Guided by its unique mission of being a loving community in the Bronx that nourishes the basic needs and hungers of all who come to our door, POTS restores the dignity that can be eroded by severe poverty.

For 30 years, POTS has worked to address all of the symptoms and causes of poverty while creating a welcoming, hospitable atmosphere for our guests as they journey from crisis to greater stability to self-sufficiency. At POTS, no need is considered too small or too large, the marginalized are brought to the forefront and everyone is treated with respect. A mainstay in the Bronx, POTS truly encompasses community – it is a place where local residents, students, donors and guests themselves roll up their sleeves and work alongside POTS' equally diverse staff.
