About Us

Ballet des Amériques was established in 2011 by director-choreographer Carole Alexis as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization operating both a professional dance company and a pre-professional ballet conservatory.

As Westchester's only professional dance company, our mission is to create and perform world-class choreography in order to develop existing audiences and particularly to engage new audiences in the universal art of dance. For the purpose of engaging new audiences, we develop a variety of outreach programs in schools, public libraries, parks, community centers, in our studios, and in the county's theaters. Please visit https://www.balletdesameriques.company/ for details.

As a pre-professional ballet conservatory, we operate a curriculum-based program of intensive training in ballet combined with a well- rounded dance education with the aim that upon graduation students are able to audition for the world's best companies. Further information about our conservatory can be found at https://bdaconservatory.com/.
