Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative, Inc.

The mission of the Homeless Coalition is “to bring together various entities, agencies, service organizations, and individuals to establish and maintain a concentrated effort to break the cycle of homelessness in Hillsborough County.” To this end, the Homeless Coalition works collaboratively with community leaders, provider organizations, government officials, and many others to direct resources for the prevention of homelessness; improve access to resources for homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless, improve linkages between homeless service providers and mainstream resources providing health care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment and other emergency, preventative, and primary care services; and develop strategies to ensure the availability of a comprehensive, holistic continuum of housing, support and employment services to assist persons to achieve self-sufficiency and live a quality life.
