Our mission is to help the frail, disabled, elderly remain independent in their homes. Our volunteers drive the elderly to MD appointments, go shopping, make friendly visits, help with paper work and decrease loneliness. We also help Caregivers living at home with a loved one with Alzheimer's disease by providing them respite. Our other services include CaregiverKids - an intergenerational program, Multicultural Outreach with bilingual volunteers and a speaker's bureau. In 2009, we began Caregiver Canines, a home visiting pet therapy program. All our services are totally free of charge and need-based, we do not ask financial information from the elderly. We are funded through grants, foundations and fund-raising initiatives.
