100 Years of Helping People Help Themselves Founded in 1889, The Educational Alliance's programs and facilities are as varied as the many populations we serve. Whether in a school, at a community center, in a housing project, at a homeless lunch program in a synagogue, at a residential substance abuse treatment center, or in its original historic building on the Lower East Side, the Alliance helps people rebuild their lives, restore their pride, get back on their feet, enrich their minds and bodies, and contribute to their community.
