Description

Coastside State Parks Association: Inspiring public appreciation and stewardship of the natural resources and cultural heritage of the San Mateo coast, in partnership with California State Parks.

CSPA works to enhance the experience of visitors to California State Parks on the San Mateo coast by promoting educational, volunteer, and park staff programs; maintaining and enhancing state park visitor centers; and supporting programs that preserve biological diversity and historical/cultural integrity

Funds raised by CSPA help the local State Parks protect and restore the natural environment in the parks, build or restore interpretive centers and historic buildings, create and install interpretive signs and displays, and provide educational opportunities for young people and the general public through a range of educational activities, including guided tours, nature walks, junior ranger and lifeguard programs, school outreach activities, and the training of volunteers.
