Mission SF Community Financial Center ("Mission SF") is a nationally-recognized San Francisco-based nonprofit that engages low-income youth and young adults in banking, saving and credit-building to improve their access to college, jobs, housing and affordable loans. Ultimately, our vision is for low-income youth to understand how to use financial products and goal-setting to achieve upward mobility and their potential. We partner closely with financial institutions to integrate quality affordable financial products into our program models—often products that are not available elsewhere. We also partner with non-profits, schools and municipal agencies to integrate our models into existing youth workforce and youth leadership programs. As an organization committed to impact, we closely monitor and evaluate our performance—and enlist outside evaluators, as well—and share our lessons and results with the field. Our innovation and impact have been recognized by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Center for Financial Services Innovation and San Francisco's Mayor's Office of Economic and Workforce Development.
