CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates CASA volunteers are community volunteers appointed by a judge to speak up for the best interests of abused and neglected children. No special experience or background is required. Recruitment and training are on-going and year-round. The first step is to attend a 45 minute informational session. Orientation times can be found on our website, www.casabr.org. Our volunteer advocates, once trained, serve as a powerful voice for abused and neglected children in the foster care system. Volunteers must be at least 21 years old and must complete a 32-hour training program. Make a lifelong difference in a child's life today.
