Leadership Long Beach is now acknowledged as one of the most prominent community leadership organizations in the Western United States. The LLB programs are renowned for encouraging people of diverse interests and backgrounds to become effective community leaders; focusing on the personal growth of the participants while educating them about the unique concerns of the Long Beach area, one of the most diverse communities in the nation. The organization provides programs for adults and high school age youth to create, build and expand upon their leadership skills in a collaborative environment.
LLB's purpose has been serving the greater community with programs and services designed to develop community leaders, increase their knowledge of the Long Beach community, and create networks of individuals who help each other solve community challenges. In recent years, the LLB vision has evolved to reflect a broader purpose and audience.
