Slow Food USA is a non-profit, membership organization committed to revitalizing food culture and creating meaningful change in the food system. Based on the belief that food is a common language and a universal right, Slow Food works to create a world in which all people can eat food that is good for them, good for the people who grow it and good for the planet. Slow Food USA has over 18,000 members organized into over 200 local chapters that do work in nearly every state. Slow Food USA is a part of the International Slow Food movement, which includes more than 85,000 members in 130 countries. The Slow Food USA office is located in Brooklyn, NY. It is the hub of activity for the national organization and the movement.
