Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture is a non-profit farm and education center located just 25 miles north of Manhattan in Pocantico Hills, New York. Stone Barns operates an 80-acre four-season farm and is working on broader initiatives to create a healthy and sustainable food system. Through its Growing Farmers Initiative, children's education programs, and diverse public awareness programs, Stone Barns aims to improve the way America eats and farms.
Stone Barns Center's farm, education center and partner, Blue Hill at Stone Barns restaurant, serve as a vibrant public resource—a place to think about food issues, ask questions, and become involved in the production and enjoyment of local, seasonal food.
Stone Barns Center encourages positive change in agricultural policies and food-related practices that will benefit individuals, communities, local food economies, and the environment.
