CHCANYS Community HealthCorps

The Community Health Care Association of New York State(CHCANYS)is a non-profit organization which provides professional support services and advocates on behalf of more than 100 community and migrant health centers as well as affiliated homeless and other primary care providers that serve over 1.5 million New Yorkers. Strategically located throughout urban and rural areas, health centers are the primary providers to approximately 700,000 Medicaid patients; however, on average over 30% of health center patients are uninsured. The mission of the Communtiy HealthCorps is to provide culturally appropriate preventive and primary health care to medically underserved populations and communities.
