Description

Partners for Youth with Disabilities, Inc. is a dynamic, caring organization committed to assisting young people with disabilities to reach their full potential for personal development. We do this by partnering children and adolescents with adults who have similar disabilities, common interests, hobbies and geographical proximity. Our programs and services nurture independence, self-sufficiency, and confidence, and we work to empower individuals with disabilities to grow and contribute through one-to-one, group, and e-mentoring programs. Through these relationships, young people and their families learn that growing up with a disability need not limit self-esteem, career, or lifestyle options. The young people that we serve are youth and young adults with a wide range of disabilities, ages 6– 24. They are primarily from, but not limited to, the Greater Boston and Greater Springfield areas and represent a vast range of economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
