Description

The Cape Eleuthera Foundation supports The Island School, Deep Creek Middle School, and Cape Eleuthera Institute, located on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas. The Island School was launched in 1999. It is a semester abroad program for high school sophomores and juniors, focused on environmental science, marine resources, and student leadership. The Deep Creek Middle School was founded in 2001 and serves 7th through 9th graders in the local communities. The Institute is the research arm of the Foundation and focuses on marine resource management, sustainable technolgies, and green design. The Institute is proud to boast the first renewable energy grid intertie in The Bahamas.

All of the programs of the Cape Eleuthera Foundation strive to be a catalyst in the global transition to a livable future through education, design, research and development.
