Meta Peace Team

Meta Peace Team provides the tools needed for effective peacemaking by offering violence de-escalation skills training and opportunities to join domestic and international peace teams where we are invited. We pursue peace through active nonviolence in places of conflict, with a proven track record of successes over 25 years in the USA and abroad (Palestine/Israel, Mexico, the US/Mexico border, El Salvador, Bosnia, Haiti, Panama, with the First Nations tribes of the US and Canada, and more).

MPT also trains and deploys "domestic" peace teams all across the USA to help deter violence in high conflict situations.

MPT responds to invitations from communities who want to reduce the threat of violence in ongoing conflict situations or, or one-time 'special event' or similar situations (for example, MPT had a presence at both of the most recent Republican National Conventions, helping reduce violence between participants and protesters, and the police).

In addition, MPT convenes, networks, and supports other peace and justice organizations throughout the United States, and has been instrumental in providing educational programming for the public on the efficacy of nonviolence & skills of violence de-escalation.
