Summerbridge Hong Kong is a non-profit tuition-free summer and after-school enrichment program which has successfully worked for the last two decades to improve English communication skills and provide academic opportunities of students from low-income families in Hong Kong. Summerbridge works with students (aged 13 - 15) that are highly motivated yet, due to their economic and/or family backgrounds, have fewer opportunities to succeed in school. Unique to Summerbridge, students are taught, mentored, and inspired entirely by older students from around the world in countries such as the US, UK, Canada, and Hong Kong in an intensive English-only environment. The Summerbridge mission is to: 1) provide tuition-free, intensive English education to underprivileged youths; 2) develop confident students invested in their education; 3) foster a love of learning; 4) train young leaders committed to education and community service.
