Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation

Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the revitalization of the Fifth Ward of Houston through real estate development, asset management, home ownership promotion, and other community support services. Fifth Ward CRC has played a significant role in lifting the Fifth Ward out of a period of decline and disinvestment that has plagued the neighborhood since the 1960s. Since its founding in 1989, Fifth Ward CRC has rebuilt over 300 homes, built 2 multifamily complexes, established 4 public art installations, and helped bring a branch of the nationally-recognized YES Prep school into the neighborhood.
