Working Partnerships USA (WPUSA) is a public policy, research and advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of working families in Silicon Valley. As a coalition of labor, faith, community and neighborhood organizations, WPUSA has been nationally recognized for creating progressive change at the local level. Since its founding in 1995, WPUSA has amassed an impressive array of public policy and organizing victories, including the passage of a living wage law in San Jose and the creation of the Children's Health Initiative - the first locally-based program in the United States to offer affordable health insurance to every child on a countywide level. All research, policy and organizing efforts focus on the following program areas: government accountability and reform, expanding health care, leadership development and coalition building and economic research and analysis.
