Description

Universidad Popular (UP) is a not-for-profit organization committed to community empowerment through participatory education. Over the course of almost 40 years, UP has evolved from a peer-advocacy group to a non-profit organization that serves over 2,000 people every year. UP's programs currently include: Adult and Family Literacy; Computer Literacy; Health Education Seminars; Financial Literacyand Microbusiness; and UPrising Youth Program. UP's mission is to work with, by, and for the people to develop programs that meet the needs of the neighborhoods it serves.
