Description

The mission of Hearts of Gold is to enhance the lives of New York City's homeless mothers and their children.

Our efforts provide goods and services for homeless mothers and their children, while they are in residence at city shelters as well as after they move on from the shelters. We supply warm clothing, bedding, and housewares, and sponsor monthly birthday parties, holiday celebrations and outings for the families. For the kids, we provide school supplies, homework help, arts and crafts activities, summer camp activities and much more. For the moms, we assist with readiness for job interviews by providing life skills counseling and practical help with wardrobe and personal care.
