PUENTES DE AMERICA FOUNDATION is located in Salta, Argentina, with partners in the United States.

We seek to create and facilitate opportunities in education, research, and community outreach between all nations.

With the help of members and volunteers, our initiatives are designed to benefit our immediate communities, those marginalized sectors of society, and the world at large.

Puentes de America Foundation, was established by an international group of profesionals in the areas of education, research, health, sciences and others. It is a non-profit organization that seeks generating innovative knowledge and solutions to the world's problems. Taking as a principle objective the promotion of cultural relations and cooperation between North and South American countries and Argentina, we seek to create and facilitate opportunities in education, research, and community outreach between all the nations.

To successfully achieve this mission, the Foundation considers of vital importance the commitment of local businesses and the efforts of renowned institutions at home and abroad. This includes official national and provincial agencies and foundations interested in the fostering of research, education and community service.

The foundation's current action plans:

Plan for Education and Intercultural Exchange- opening doors to higher education here and abroad through training and international exams in English, in addition to providing university scholarships and intercultural exchanges.

Plan for Preventive Health- developing innovative solutions to improve the welfare of the community and the most vulnerable social sectors. Promoting scientific research on issues that guarantee high impact results and broad applicability.

Plan for Training in Higher Education- Strengthening higher education institutions in the country at the graduate and post graduate levels, through academic exchange, international visiting capacitors and professional training. Developing training programs and professional development, and training and certification.

Plan for International Research- promoting research to bridge the gaps in science education that our province and country has with academia in their highest levels of knowledge. This includes, as a major focus area, technological development, the sciences and mathematics.

PUENTES DE AMERICA FOUNDATION está ubicada en Salta, Argentina, con miembros en los Estados Unidos. Pretendemos crear y facilitar oportunidades en educación, investigación, servicio comunitario e intercambio cultural entre las naciones de Argentina y Estados Unidos. Con la ayuda de miembros y voluntarios, nuestras iniciativas son diseñadas para beneficiar nuestra comunidad, los sectores marginalizados de la sociedad, y el mundo en general.

La Fundación Puentes de America fue establecida por un grupo internacional de profesionales en las areas de educación, investigación, salud, las ciencias, relaciones internacionales, psicología y otras. Es una organización sin fines de lucro que busca generar conocimientos y soluciones innovativas a los problemas del mundo. Tomamos como objetivo principal la promoción de relaciones interculturales y de cooperación primordialmente entre los paises de las Americas, pero tambien promovemos estas relaciones con el resto de los paises del mundo.

Para cumplir esta misión, la fundación considera de importancia vital el compromiso de organizaciones locales, asi como de instituciones internacionales. Esto incluye instituciones nacionales y provinciales, y fundaciones internacionales interesadas en la promoción de investigación, educación, intercambio cultural y servicio comunitario.

LO QUE HACEMOS

Las siguientes áreas forman los pilares de nuestro trabajo:

Nuestros planes de acción actuales son:

- Educación e intercambio cultural: buscamos proveer herramientas de acceso a la educación superior en nuestro medio y y en el extranjero a través de capacitación, preparación para exámenes internacionales en inglés (TOEFL, GRE, etc.) y la provisión de becas universitarias e intercambio cultural.

- Salud preventiva: procuramos soluciones innovadoras para mejorar el bienestar de la comunidad y de los sectores sociales más vulnerables. Promovemos la investigación científica que garantice resultados de impacto alto y amplia aplicabilidad.

- Capacitación en educación: proponemos fortalecer la educación superior en instituciones a nivel de grado y post-grado por medio del intercambio académico e invitacion de expertos internacionales, para proveer capacitación profesional, desarrollo profesional y certificación.

- Investigaciones con participacion internacional: promovemos acortar la brecha en la educación de las ciencias que nuestra provincia y país tienen con respecto al mundo desarrollado teniendo como enfoque principal el desarrollo tecnológico, las ciencias y las matemáticas.
