"No Fruit Left Behind"

The nonprofit organization Iskash*taa harvests over 75,000 pounds of a variety of fruits and vegetables a year. We are recognized locally, nationally and internationally for our work in promoting local food resources, advocating for and with refugees and empowering people by harvesting in neighborhoods building a better stronger, fair community. Iskashitaa is furthermore dedicated to raising awareness about issues that impact refugees and other marginalized groups, working to eradicate barriers for their sustainable transition into this society, and serving as a liaison for meaningful collaborations among people working for the benefit of the refugee community in Tucson.
