Last modified: January 27, 2010, 12:45 PM

Description

Formed in 1985, Denver Urban Gardens
(DUG) is a nonprofit organiztion that
transforms vacant, derelict inner-city
lots into lush oases by and for the
community.

Currently, DUG has created and continues
to manage over 60 DUG garden sites
throughout the Denver metro-area, as
well as a large scale garden/farm, known
as the DeLaney Urban Farm.

The community gardens offer ample
oppportunity for individuals to
collectively strengthen neighborhoods,
foster friendships and, in short, make a
healthier and more beautiful community.
